
I am a qualified counsellor holding a Higher National Diploma in Counselling, accredited by the BACP and awarded by the University of Brighton.
I have attended many workshops and additional training courses.
Having previously worked as a counsellor with Mankind UK, I am now a Director of this well-established charity providing counselling and other therapuetic services to men affected by rape and/or sexual abuse.
As a self-employed counsellor I work for Sussex Breakeven, a franchise of GamCare, providing counselling to anyone affected by problem gambling.
I have been working for many years with addiction issues and I have a comprehensive understanding of various treatment models including the 12-step philosophy. I am a visiting lecturer on the Sussex Downs Foundation Degree in Counselling, lecturing on addiction.
In addition to being a Member of the BACP I am also a Member of Sussex Counselling. In accordance with ethical practice I hold full professional liabilty insurance and I receive regular counselling supervision.
